Tipperary born artist Ann Brennan has been a member of the Tudor Artisan Hub since we opened our doors, May 2014.
Ann has a unique painting style and her work is distinctly recognised. Ann possesses the extraordinary ability to transcend the ordinary confines of the canvas, guiding the viewer on an immersive journey into the heart of the great outdoors. With each brushstroke, she captures not just the visual splendour of our landscapes and seascapes, but also the essence of their untamed beauty and serene majesty. Her paintings act as windows to a world where the hustle and bustle of daily life give way to the tranquil allure of untouched wilderness, inviting onlookers to lose themselves in the vastness and variety of nature. Through her adept use of colour, light, and texture, she crafts scenes that resonate with the soul, stirring within the viewer a longing for adventure and exploration!
Ann exhibits her paintings in various galleries throughout Ireland and her work has been shipped across the globe. In the Hub, the top selling artwork by Ann include various views of Sliabh na mBan and Suir Valley, Mahon Falls, the Comeragh Mountains, Tipperary cornfields, Tramore Strand, Abbeyside Beach and the Wild Atlantic Way.
Let's hear from Ann: "I am a self-taught artist working from my home-based studio in Ballingarry, South Tipperary. My passion for art started at a young age, and over time I have developed my skills through experimentation, trial and error, and a deep love of the creative process. I specialize in painting landscapes and seascapes in oils. I try to capture the beauty of nature in a way that is both realistic and expressive, using blended brushstrokes and textured palette knife techniques., I am drawn to the wild and rugged beauty of the seas and mountains of Ireland. There is something about the crashing waves against rocky shores and the towering peaks rising up to meet the sky that speaks to me on a deep and primal level.
Through my art, I aim to capture the essence of this land and share it in a way that is both beautiful and meaningful. "

A few words from Ann...
"Being part of the Tudor Artisan Hub for the last 10 years has been a creative journey for me. It has
served as a platform for showcasing and promoting my work to a broader audience. The hub has
provided opportunities for growth and collaborations through shared exhibitions and projects with
other like minded creatives. We get a chance to encourage and celebrate each others creative ideas
and successes. It was in the Hub that I started running my art classes and Linda initiated this and at a later stage organised a larger venue to facilitate my classes from.
