Meet the Maker - Iryna Meskeiva and her wee studio helper!
Iryna who is from Ukraine, relocated to Ireland with her husband in 2022 and now live in Grangemockler, Co. Tipperary. Iryna joined the Tudor Artisan Hub in November 2023 and her beautiful Toy collection are very popular with our customers. Iryna's handmade toys are crocheted using velour, acrylic and cotton yarns.
Iryna likes to craft 'one of a kind' toys - infusing each piece with its own unique character and charm. The process of creating something entirely new each time is incredibly rewarding to Iryna, offering endless opportunities to experiment with colours, textures, and designs. Iryna does not remake any toy exactly, to ensure that each creation stands out as a unique piece of art, reflecting her evolving skills and imagination. Iryna enjoys making special commissions too.
Iryna's has a little secret ingredient for designing and creating her unique toys that she wants to share with you. "This is my smart cat Zlatko, which in translation means Golden cat. It is he who not only inspires me to create something interesting, but also very actively helps me in crocheting and knitting!".
