Established in May 2014 by Linda Fahy, the Tudor Artisan Hub is a vibrant and independent collective that brings together over 100 talented artisans from Carrick-on-Suir, the majestic Suir and Lingaun Valley regions and beyond. Located in the historic Ormond Quarters of Carrick-on-Suir, nestled between two award winning Theatres this unique hub serves as a bustling centre for creativity, craftsmanship, and community engagement. It provides a platform for artisans to showcase their work, collaborate on projects, and connect with both locals and visitors who appreciate the rich cultural heritage and artisanal skills of the region.
This Aladdin's Cave of creativity spans five gallery spaces, over two floors offering a unique experience to browse a diverse collection of handcrafted eclectic treasures in a rustic, charming space. Each art piece reflects the unique skills and artistic vision of its creator, making the hub a treasure trove of one-of-a-kind items that tell the story of the area's rich cultural tapestry.
Our "Meet the Maker" website just launched in 2024 serves as a vital extension of our Arts Collective, offering a unique platform for visitors and customers to engage more deeply with individual creators.  The site which is funded by our artists, features detailed profiles of each artist, allowing users to learn about the diverse talents and inspirations behind the works on display. We hope this personal connection enhances appreciation for the artist's work and also fosters a sense of community and belonging among customers and creators alike.
In addition to showcasing the artists, this comprehensive site provides up-to-date information on what is currently on display in the collective's hub. This ensures that visitors are always aware of the latest offerings and can plan their visits accordingly. Moreover, the website highlights additional services offered by the creators, such as custom commissions, workshops, and exhibitions.
Inside the Hub we have a QR code system by each display that will bring you into the creator's dedicated page on our Meet the Makers site - so you can learn more about each artist as you browse their creative treasures on display.  You will also have an opportunity to visit the makers from time to time in the Tudor Artisan Hub galleries as we endeavour to make your Hub experience more dynamic and enriching. Our in-person Meet the Maker pop-ups will be announced on our social media platforms.
