Tudor Artisan Hub: Where History Breathes and Creativity Flourishes
Step inside the Tudor Artisan Hub, a historic gem where time slows down and history breathes. Located at 42 Main Street in the heart of Carrick-on-Suir’s Cultural Quarter, this building has been a forge of local talent for a century. Originally opened in 1925 as the Technical Institute, it later served as the 1943 birthplace of the renowned Carrick-on-Suir Operatic Society. After decades of mixed use, the building’s creative legacy was reborn in 2014, breathing new life into its historic walls.
Today, we invite you to take time to slow down and take it all in as you explore this unique, atmospheric ‘Aladdin’s cave.’ The Hub is dedicated to supporting and showcasing over 100 artisans across all genres from Carrick-on-Suir, the Suir and Lingaun Valley, and beyond. As a Visitor Information Point, we are always delighted to help you make the most of your visit to the region.
