We are thrilled to announce our inaugural series of 'Meet the Maker' live pop-up art demonstrations at the Tudor Artisan Hub galleries Saturday mornings from 10:30am-12:30pm over the next eight weeks - commencing October 19, 2024...as we head into the Christmas Season.

This is an ideal opportunity for our customers, art enthusiasts and curious minds alike to engage with the talented artists who design and create our stunning arts and crafts.

During these sessions, you'll have the chance to discover their creative processes - watch as each artist demonstrates their unique techniques and shares insights into their creative journey.
Engage directly with the makers and ask questions about their work, inspirations, and the stories behind their pieces. Be among the first to see new collections and one-of-a-kind pieces before they are available to the general public. Place orders for bespoke pieces for Christmas gifts.

Saturday October 19th - from 10:30AM-12:30PM
Artist Nicola Coady creates collage art inspired by her local surroundings including holidays all over Ireland. Nicola is a biologist originally from Canada, but now lives in Portlaw, Co. Waterford.
She uses mainly upcycled materials including old newspapers, maps, cardboard, packaging, wallpaper samples and wrappers to create her beautiful Paper Paintings.
Nicola joined the Tudor Artisan Hub, April 2024 and her work has received rave reviews. 
Nicola will be showcasing various aspects of her creative processes during her live pop-up art demonstration upstairs in the Hub galleries.

Saturday October 26th - from 10:30AM -12:30PM
Irish artist Bettina Norton works from a home studio near the artistic village of Thomastown in South Kilkenny. The landscape, seascape and large wave paintings draw inspiration from the beautiful unique Irish coast. The power of the sea, the sound of the waves whispering over the sand and pebbles along the shore, the smell of the salty sea, are all reflected within her beautiful works.
Bettina works in various media from acrylic to high intensity  inks, then layering with oil glazes or oil and cold wax, the work is intuitive, interpreting aspects of landscape as expression of form and movement.
Bettina joined the Tudor Artisan Hub Summer 2018 and her beautiful work is highly sought after.
For the live pop-up art demonstration, Bettina will walk you through her oil and cold wax techniques.
Saturday November 2nd - from 10:30AM-12:30PM
Stephen Power is a self-taught artist from Carrick-on-Suir, Co. Tipperary and has been a member of the Tudor Artisan Hub since April 2016.
Stephen's art style can be described as Abstract Expressionism.
Stephen has Spina bifida, his disability,  his passion for music, and his love of nature have been the principal driving forces in the path of the subject matter in his artwork. He finds the freedom to express himself without limitations by creating abstract art with acrylics.
At the pop-up demonstration, Stephen will talk us through his art journey and his unique art processes.

Saturday November 9th, 2024 - from 10:30AM -12:30PM
Athenamade creator Athena Brownrigg is a self taught mixed media artist and crafter, who joined the Tudor Artisan Hub in late 2015.
Working from her home studio on the Carlow Kilkenny border, Athena's heart and soul goes into creating every art piece. Athena creates many of her art pieces from found sea treasures - each pebble, shell or piece of sea pottery collected, many from beaches in Waterford and Wexford, are sourced for projects she has in mind. Athena has a lot of strings to her bow!
At Christmas our customers keep Athena very busy with gorgeous personalised bespoke decorations for Teachers, Family and Friends.
The pop-up art demonstration will be an ideal time to meet Athena in person, view her latest collections and place your bespoke orders.
Saturday November 16th, 2024 - from 10:30AM -12:30PM
 We welcomed Geraldine Gleeson, Maker of Glass by Ger to the Tudor Artisan Hub last October 2023. Its been a whirlwind of a year for Ger!
Ger is a glass artist based in Fethard Co. Tipperary. She makes exquisite sculptures, jewellery, ornaments, pictures and trinkets from 'fused glass' which is joining together pieces of glass at high temperatures in a kiln. Ger is always learning and experimenting with new techniques and designs. Her work continuously evolves, introducing fresh elements that surprise and delight those who appreciate finely crafted fused glass art.
For the pop-up demonstration, Geraldine will demonstrate some of the processes and steps involved in her craft, she will have samples of her latest work. Geraldine will be open to taking orders for bespoke pieces for Christmas. Stay connected to our social media pages for the latest information.
Saturday November 23rd, 2024 - from 10:30AM -12:30PM
We welcomed Tipperary based creator and skincare formulator Fiona O'Donohoe with her multi-award winning handcrafted skincare, body care and holistic well-being small business 'Away with Nature' to the Hub, October 2023.
We are delighted that Fiona is available to present a pop-up demonstration in the Hub this November. This is a fantastic opportunity to engage with Fiona particularly to learn about her own journey with 'Away with Nature' - faced with the challenge of managing her rosacea and psoriasis, she found comfort in the healing powers of nature and dove into the world of organic skincare. After many hours of experimenting with different formulas, Fiona created a special blend that not only soothed her skin but also brought out its natural glow.
Fiona will chat about each of her products - skincare, body care and home fragrances that are available to purchase from the Hub. Fiona will also be delighted to help you if you have any skin, hair or body care queries....as a skincare formulator Fiona can create bespoke natural, eco-friendly blends that can heal and soothe many skin conditions.
So please do come along, Meet this amazing Maker and find out about her wonderful crafts and how she may be able to help you on your journey to healthier skincare.

Seoda Treasures is a small creative business created by Michelle Power, Carrick on Suir, Co. Waterford. Michelle joined the Hub back in March 2017 with a small collection of her beautiful handcrafted jewellery and over the last 7 years her business has gone from strength to strength as she experiments with various mediums, adding new offerings to her unique giftware on a regular basis...nature is always at the core of Michelle's crafts. Michelle also accepts special commission work.
Michelle designs and crafts bespoke Irish wild flowers jewellery  with resin and real botanicals, locally sourced from her own garden or nearby gardens, meadows and woodlands in South East Ireland.
Michelle also incorporates botanicals into her framed art pieces using a wide range of mediums.
Come along and meet Michelle in person at her pop-up art demonstration and she will walk you through what inspires her work and various processes that she uses to create her unique crafts.
Saturday December 7th, 2024 - from 10:30AM -12:30PM
Inky Frog is the artistic vision of sisters Victoria and Jenny who both share a love for being creative. Victoria is an illustrator based in East Cork and Jenny is a writer living in the foothills of Slievenamon in Co. Tipperary. Combining their skillset the sisters have created a fabulous unique 'Illustrated Poetry' business. 
All their artwork is drawn by hand by Victoria and the words are written by Jenny – images inspiring words, words inspiring images!
Inky Frog are always developing new ideas and launch new products on a regular basis to keep our customers engaged.
We are thrilled to have Inky Frog participate in our pop-up Meet the Maker art demonstration series in the Hub galleries - I can't wait to witness these two amazing creatives in action in the Hub galleries and engage with them about their individual and combined art processes.
