A warm welcome to Kevin O’Gorman of Kogsey Crafts, the newest member of our Tudor Artisan Hub family! Based in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, Kevin took up woodturning after recently retiring, and he brings a delightful mix of traditional skill and whimsical creativity to our collective.
While he is highly regarded for his expert use of a lathe to create elegant, functional pieces from Irish hardwoods, it is his quirky wooden pets that truly capture the heart. Each of these 'adorable, whimsical' figures is individually hand-turned into smooth, stylised shapes, then finished with expressive hand-added features that give every dog, cat, hen, and other characters its own unique personality.
